TRUFFLE HUNTING IN LE MARCHE REGION – Autumn 1.290,00 €
Le Marche Region there is a rich production of all major species of truffles, both white and black. The most prized is the White Truffle of Sant’Angelo in Vado (PU) (October-November) and in Acqualagna (PU) (October-November).
The Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco Pregiato (National Prized White Truffle Fair) takes place in Pergola (PU) in October. in Amandola (FM) in the first half of November.
Black Truffles can be found in Cagli (PU), Sassoferrato (AN), Arcevia (AN), in the province of Ascoli Piceno at Acquasanta Terme, Roccafluvione, Comunanza; in the province of Fermo at Montefortino, Amandola; in Camerino (MC), the Sibillini area and in Visso (MC).
There is another variety typical of the area, the Bianchetto, which is gathered in late winter. -

DAY 1 – WELCOME TO LE MARCHE
FridayPrivate transfer from Rome to Le Marche Region.
Your private driver will meet you at Rome airport and you will head to Le Marche Region.Guided visit of the historic center of Ancona.
Then your driver will take you to the Grand Hotel Palace Ancona, a few steps away from the Ancient Port. Check in and time to rest.
Seafood-based dinner at star chef Moreno Cedroni’s restaurant Clandestino.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.DAY 2 – FRASASSI CAVES & CONERO WINE TASTING
SaturdayIn the morning visit at the Frassasi caves, a spectacular natural scenery, an extraordinary walking tour (75 min) of this underground world with an English speaking guide.
Transfer to Umani Ronchi, since 1957 have been making superb-quality wines. After the tour of wonderful Bottaia, you will taste their top-quality wines with local delicacies.
Visit of Moroder wine estate, where you will taste its Dorico, Rosso Conero DOC Riserva, Rosato IGT and “Oro” Moscato Passito wine and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 3 – PICENO EXPERIENCE
SundayPrivate transfer from Ancona to Ascoli Piceno.
First, you will stop at Recanati and learn about Giacomo Leopardi, Italy’s famous poet, visiting its home/museum and the historic wine estate.
Lunch at Michelin-starred Andreina restaurant, where you can taste an unforgettable meal.
Arrival at Ascoli Piceno, check in to the Palazzo dei Mercanti hotel and free time.
Coffee break at the historical Caffè Meletti; Ernest Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre loved this cafe and its Anisetta Meletti.
Transfer to Cocci Grifoni winery and guided tour of the historic vineyard Vigna Messieri, the barrel cellar and the library with an introduction to the history of the Cocci Grifoni family.
Wine tasting in the Panoramic Terrace including Offida DOCG Pecorino and Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore.Return to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 4 – END OF TOUR
MondayTransfer from Ascoli Piceno to Rome where you will be dropped off in Rome airport.
